Dr. Lobat Zainali grew up in Tehran, Iran, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the National University of Iran. Shortly after, she and her husband moved to the U.S. She attended dental school at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she attained the highest scholastic achievement and graduated with honors, first in her class. She received many honors and awards and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. She immediately continued her residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics and graduated with accolades in 1993. Since then, Dr. Zainali has been a solo practitioner in the Frederick area and has had the privilege of creating thousands of beautiful, healthy smiles for over 22 years.
“I am passionate about the art and science of orthodontics and have invested most of my life in mastering it,” she said. Dr. Zainali is a part-time professor of orthodontics at Howard University and over the last 16 years has trained more than 100 capable orthodontists.
Teaching has kept her abreast of the latest orthodontic treatment techniques, which she incorporates in her everyday practice. Her practice’s primary goal is for parents and families to know that they are placing their children in caring, compassionate hands. Her treatment area is always open to the parents, and both the doctor and her staff love to have open communication with all patients and their families.
“We want our patients, whether they are 7 or 70 years old, to feel completely at ease in our office and we will do anything we can to help them have a pleasant experience with us,” she said.
