Where Customers Become Friends

The Frederick County community is at the heart of Dynamic Automotive, which grew from one full-service, auto repair shop more than 20 years ago to four bustling shops in Urbana, Frederick, Libertytown and New Market.
It’s a driving force that is symbolized in artwork recently created by well-known Frederick artist Yemi, who has illustrated the business’ four shops and its connection to the City of Frederick, with shop owners, devoted employees and loyal customers in the foreground.
Success boils down to its homegrown philosophy, said Dwayne Myers, owner and shop manager of its Urbana location. “We treat our customers with respect and we treat our employees the same way,” he said. Dynamic Automotive has 36 employees, all of whom rotate through dozens of local and national trainings a year to stay on top of their trades and to help maintain the business’ long list of loyal customers. “We have longevity with our team. They stick with us because we invest in them,” he said. “They take what we give them and use it to help our customers.”
Dynamic Automotive was named an Auto Care Association Head of the Class winner in 2015 for its dedication to training. In addition to its Frederick New-Post accolade, it was honored as a Motor Age Top Shop for 2014 and was a winner in the Auto Repair category in Frederick Magazine’s Best of Frederick.
The company has earned several business development awards from Frederick County, Myers said. Myers said that the business often hires students from the Frederick County Career and Technology Center to help them further their training. Dynamic Automotive also looks for ways to help support the communities it serves. At the annual car show at its Urbana shop this summer, they raised more than $4,000 for the Urbana High School band, he said.
Myers said that Dynamic Automotive’s mission began to bring quality customer care to Frederick County, and it hopes to expand on that mission in the future.
