Carrying on the Family Tradition<\/em><\/p>\n After working as a dental hygienist, she decided to pursue a career as a dentist and graduated from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry with honors. Recently, she\u2019s celebrated\u00a0two major milestones: she took over her father\u2019s practice after his retirement last year and in April she celebrated her 25th anniversary as a practicing dentist.<\/p>\n A Frederick native, Dr. Andochick knows a lot of people\u2014and their smiles\u2014in the Frederick area. \u201cIt\u2019s nice to have patients I\u2019ve known from growing up in the community,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s fun seeing the growth occurring in Frederick, as it\u2019s nice meeting many new residents.\u201d<\/p>\n Dr. Andochick takes an empathetic approach to her work and wants her patients to feel comfortable with her. \u201cIt\u2019s important they trust that I will educate them so they understand their treatment options.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Part of her approach includes focusing on long-term care and using conservative treatment plans.<\/p>\n Serving the Frederick community through Dr. Lori Andochick Dental, she has continued her family\u2019s 50-year dental legacy.\u00a0Her success has been evident: She was a Best of the Best top-three finalist in her first year after taking over the family practice.
