Oh, there’s just so much to do this weekend. In addition to this fabulously sunny Thursday evening (meaning Alive @ Five will most certainly be going down, featuring the above band – and we’ll be there to hand out koozies!), we also have Kidstock set for Saturday at the fairgrounds, which will most certainly be for a great cause, and in addition to all that, there’s a few super-great bands coming from far, far away to rock and roll their respective ways through Frederick (see the Q&As with The Shack Band and The Mumbles below). And as if that’s not enough, we also have a First Thursday going down over in Shepherdstown, which is always a lot of fun, and, of course, New God, a fairly well-known national act with local roots, coming to Cafe Nola to raise the bar yet again on all the great stuff that place is doing. It might be hot, but as we approach summer’s dog days, you best start enjoying what’s left of these beautiful August evenings and loud local bars. That autumn weather will be here before you know it!
