Ohhh, goodness, we get chills just thinking about this weekend. In addition to the Hot August Music Festival that’s taking place right down the road in Cockeysville, we have a ton of great stuff going down here in town. Kicking things off at tonight’s Alive @ Five will be the fantastic post-rock, un-Rush-sounding dudes of Time Columns, which will feature, if you remember from our latest podcast, the great Kenny Eaton of Mystery Ton Studios. Then, as if that’s not enough to get butterflies over, check out tomorrow night’s Movie Night On The Creek and the music beforehand sponsored by … well, us! That’s right: Our second Frederick Playlist Presents … concert will feature our good friends The Knolly Moles and it’s set to go down at 7 p.m. before the Downtown Frederick Partnership screens “Mrs. Doubtfire” in honor of the late Robin Williams. In addition to that greatness, we have the Secondhand Ramblers at Brewer’s Alley. We have a former Parlor Soldier taking the Cafe Nola stage. We have the fabulous Pete Goodwin appearing at Bentz Street. And, of course, we have Donnie Wood coming back to town for all those who dig a little pop-country every now and then. So, come say hi to us tomorrow night (it’s free!), grab those walking shoes and get on downtown at least once over the next three days!
