Well, Alive @ Five is done for the year, so pour one out for that (though Freddie Long is still playing his after-party at The Cellar Door each Thursday, it appears). And it’s also sad that we tried to give away two tickets to see The Knolly Moles at the Fillmore and literally no one entered the contest. So, what a great week this has turned out to be. There’s still time to turn things around over the next three days, though, as we get ready to stage our final Movie Night on the Creek Frederick Playlist Presents … event. It will feature Old Indian, and you will not want to miss that. Expect new songs. Expect surprises. And expect a whole lot of rawk, with a “w.” Elsewhere, there’s going to be a local music tent at the fair on Saturday, so that should be fun, the great Seaknuckle is going to join forces with Signs Point East at The Cellar Door on Saturday, a Morrissey tribute and a Joe Jackson tribute are going to take the stage at The Faux School Friday night, and, of course, Fractal Cat. Because, Fractal Cat. We’ll be all around this town Friday night (especially along the creek), so come by and say hello, check out Old Indian, watch a movie, and bid adieu to the summer of 2014 with us!
