We should note, for the love of all things good, one more time that we are giving away two tickets to see “The Last Waltz” performed live and in color this weekend at the Weinberg. But because it’s on Sunday, it will not appear in the below listings. Sad, we know. But still, check it out if you get the chance – it should be pretty awesomely awesome. As for what we actually have on tap for this weekend … well, Prophets Of The Abstract Truth will be jazzin’ things up at Ayse in a couple hours, so you won’t want to miss that. The Reunion is going to have some radical bluegrass. The funny, funny lads in Seaknuckel (not sure if they changed the spelling or if Cafe Nola’s website is just wrong) will be at Cafe Nola tomorrow night, and they rock harder than pretty much anything on earth. Cafe 611 will host a Get Funk show on Saturday, so if you are looking to get funky, that will be your chance. There is something called the Original Booze Brothers, which is kind of a great name for a band. And, of course, Jack Funk will funk-and-roll Olde Towne on Saturday night. It’s supposed to get warmer at some point, right? Let’s hope so. In the meantime (and in between time), take a look at what Frederick has going on this weekend and make a decision or three.
