Welp. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. What does that mean? Well, it means we’ll throw in an extra day of show listings for this week (though, as you’ll see, there isn’t really all that much to add, which is odd, considering how tonight is typically a big busy night for Those Who Like To Drink In Public). It also means that Frederick Playlist will return to its regularly scheduled programming on Monday, December 1. In the meantime (and in between time), however, we’ve got a boatload of stuff going down around town for the next four days. Mercifully, we’ll take this opportunity to remind you for the last time that we are still giving away tickets to see the Blind Boys Of Alabama at the Weinberg on Friday. If you’re the winner, we’ll be in touch Friday morning. We also have the next Last Saturdays hip-hop series installment going down Saturday at That Cuban Place (please note the change in venue this month). Cafe Nola, as it is wont to do every now and then, will be hosting a slew of shows from tonight through the end of the weekend, so you’ll want to stop on by that amazingly amazing place. Freddie Long appears to literally be everywhere at some point, so do with that what you may. There’s some Open Mic nights. There’s some jazz. There’s some Vinyl Rhino. There’s some snow. There’s some turkey. There’s some Black Friday. And, of course, there’s some Drop Dead Sexy. It’s cold. And the weather sucks. But since when does that mean the rock has to stop?!?!? That’s rhetorical. As for the things we are thankful for? It goes like this: You. Booze. Dots. And “Jane The Virgin.” That’s it. That’s the list. How about you?
