Aren’t there something like 39 First Saturdays this month? Thought we heard that at some point. Anyway. In addition to it being the first Saturday of the last month of the year, we also have a solid lineup of stuff going down in and around town over the next three days. There is a First Thursday over in Shepherdstown tonight, which we talked about a tiny bit earlier through our Video Of The Day. We sure do love us some Chelsea McBee. There’s also a pretty great show going down tomorrow night in the same town (different venue) featuring Rozwell Kid and Bishops. When it comes to music actually in Frederick … welp, the Weinberg has two shows going down this weekend, one featuring the “Jimi Hendrix of the violin” (really, that can’t be quoted enough), while the other features a pretty darn great guitar player (as seen above). DJ Two Teks will be Tek-in his way through Cafe Nola on Saturday night. Speaking of cafes, Cafe 611 gets back into the weekend game after a couple Saturdays off with Division and a host of other bands. Something called DisFunkShun takes the stage at the Blue Sky. There will be a whole boatload of positivity at The Cellar Door Friday night. And then, of course, Hard Swimmin’ Fish. Because, Hard Swimmin’ Fish. We all know you still have a ton of Christmas shopping left to do. Why not give some local businesses your money, keep a couple bucks in your pocket and try out a show or six sometime over the next three days? Sound good? Good. We love you more than words can say.
