Well, hello, June. Why do you look so cold and gray this time around? Like, what’s your deal? Tonight’s Alive @ Five was called off a few hours ago due to temperatures and all-around blah-ness. So, that’s sad. All indications say that the rest of the weekend weather will shape up, rather than ship out, and that’s great news for the Festival Of The Arts, which has a slew of music going on tomorrow night and pretty much all day Saturday. Speaking of Saturday … well, it’s a First Saturday, so you best be ready to hear some musac wherever you go. And that’s a good thing. Elsewhere, DisFunkShun will be Diss-ing, Funk-ing and Shun-ing all over the Blue Sky Friday night. Our old friends Doug Alan Wilcox and Todd C. Walker will be part of the Shab Row First Saturday festivities. There’s a doctor at a vineyard. The Pine Leaf Boys (above) highlight what should be a great weekend of music over in Shepherdstown at The Opera House (you know what else you can find in Shepherdstown? Our radio show!). There’s a great event Saturday at Cafe 611, aimed at helpin’ kickin’ cancer for kids. The Judy Chops, subject of today’s Video Of The Day, will be at Cafe Nola, and you know you won’t want to miss that. There’s The JAM. There’s some bluegrass. There’s UnWound Band. There’s Jack Z & The Meteors. There’s the Lenny Burridge Trio. And then, of course, there’s Black Tusk. We’ll be back next week with oh, so much neat stuff to share.
