… And after being preempted for a week, we’re back. And, oh boy are we back! It’s been a week, that’s for sure. We premiered a brand new Frederick Playlist Presents … session with Silent Old Mtns. We talked with kids act Here Comes Trouble. We world premiered a music video from Seaknuckle. And, most importantly, we posted a photo of Alive@Five. Segue. Tonight, it appears as though Carroll Creek will be hippin’ and hoppin’ with Jem. Will you check it out? Because you should. Elsewhere this weekend … well, it’s the Fourth Of July! Duh. There’s a whole slew of things going down at Baker Park pretty much all day Saturday, and that includes (but is not limited to) a Tom Petty tribute band. So, there’s that. Time Columns and Kabob-O-Taj (above) probably hold the honor of the coolest show going down this weekend when they take the Cafe Nola stage tomorrow night. Levi Stephens is coming back to Bushwaller’s. There is the usual slate of open mics. Southern Charm is heading back to Champion Billiards. Jack Funk, who are some pretty great dudes, will be funking Olde Towne Tavern up until the Sunday morning sun rises (or something like that). And then, of course, Rated R, who are celebrating the Fourth of July at the Blue Sky. T-minus one week until we officially open the doors to 200 E. Patrick St. and allow the music and the art to wash over this great town for a few months. Are you excited? We are. In the meantime (and in between time) … viva la America!
