Well, how about it, July? We’re just about done, now, aren’t we? In fact, we’re so much done that this Saturday marks yet another Fabulous First Saturday. So, expect all the great things associated with that to go down as usual. Also, as we noted earlier this week, the Movie Nights On The Creek will double in size if only for this weekend – tomorrow night features Todd C. Walker and “Anchorman” while Saturday night features Seaknuckle (above) and “The Sandlot.” It’s all free, and you can’t get better than free. You can even bring the entire family for the Saturday night event. The italics are designed to prove to you how important that is. Elsewhere, Lilac Daze will be at 123 W. Patrick St. this evening, and according to their Facepage, this might be their last hometown show in a while. Duly noted. Cafe Nola is hosting our dear friends in Heavy Lights Saturday night, along with Seagulls. So now that we think about it, how about this: Check out Seaknuckle for free on the creek at 7 p.m. Watch the first half of “The Sandlot.” Walk on over to Cafe Nola. And party like you’re hardy until the sun comes up. Sound like a plan? We think so. Shane Gamble will return to Champion Billiards, and he’s always good for some country-fried fun. The wonderful women in The Hello Strangers will be at The Blue Side tomorrow night, and they may or may not be stopping in here for a quick Playlist Presents … session that we are super-duper excited for.
