Well, it’s Halloween. Thus, we felt it our duty to stop by to offer up this week’s Weekend Playlist, because, hey: It’s Halloween. There are a lot of great things going on all weekend – not just on Saturday (which, of course, is Halloween proper). Friday night, Two Teks will be at Cafe Nola with Bang Bang, and, as we mentioned earlier this week, Silent Old Mtns., Heavy Lights (above), Big Hoax and Cheshi will be at The Blue Side, which is a pretty great place for beer, food and fun (what we like to call B-F-Squared). It’s five bucks to get in, but only 3 if you have a costume! Honestly – it should be tons of fun. Elsewhere, Fuzzy Match will be at Isabella’s tonight, so that’s good. The Christian Lopez Band, who we love – and we really do mean love – will be over in Shepherdstown tonight for their Halloween show at The Opera House. If you need to know more about them, just leaf through our reviews section to see what you’re in for. Special Delivery, ye of Best Of The Best Fest Fame, are headed to the Hard Times Cafe (great wings!) tomorrow night. Willie Barry, who played for your entertainment at 200 East over the summer, is taking the Rock-A-Sonics to Beans In The Belfry tomorrow night as well. There’s The Reagan Years. There’s THE HALLOWEEN SUPER JAM, and we don’t know what the hell that is, but it must be great. There are two helpings of Scott Barrett and friends. There’s Nobody’s Parents. And then, of course, there is the great Freddie Long. Again: All apologies for being so sporadic these days – a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff is going down, and there’s a bunch of up-in-the-air-ness right now. Once we know something, you’ll know something. In the meantime (and in between time), dress yourselves up and have yourselves a Halloween, friends (especially considering how it’s on a Saturday this year!). We love you. Don’t forget it.
