Well, hello, 2016. We’ve been away for a minute, but, as we noted earlier this week, it’s time to kick things back into gear. And what does that mean? Well, it means that … it’s almost Frederick Music Showcase time! We’re kicking off the Showcase Season with the fantastic fellas in Joint Effort (above, reuniting!) and SoulXchange tomorrow night at Cafe Nola. We’ll be there, introducing some bands, giving some things away, and, of course, announcing the lineup for this year’s event at the Weinberg Center! Are you excited? We are. We really, really are. Hopefully, you are, too. Also this weekend, Mitch Morril will be performing for your entertainment tonight at Ayse. The Local Yokel Vocal Band is heading to Beans In The Belfry, so word up to them. The Plank Stompers are going to stomp all over the Blue Side tomorrow night while Mateo Monk will be at the same place Saturday night. And, if none of that sounds good, there’s always the Right-Handed Lefties at Bushwallers. We’ll be back next week with a whole lot more about this year’s Showcase, in addition to a new review, and, get ready for it, the first Q&A of 2016!
