It’s mid-January. You know what that means? It’s cold. It’s real cold. It also means that between now and the next time we publish a Weekend Playlist, we will pass the one-month mark until the second Frederick Music Showcase! But you’re probably sick of hearing about that. So … back to this weekend. One of the greatest Beatles tribute acts in all the land, 1964 (above), is coming to the Weinberg this weekend and because we once spoke with John Lennon (kind of), you should check it out. Also this weekend, Roosevelt Dime, who we Q-ed and A-ed earlier this week, is set to take the Cafe Nola stage, and that ought to be fun. The fine lads in Signs Point East and Jack Funk will play the same spot Saturday night. There’s also Hucklebuck at The Blue Side. The Two Rivers String Quartet at The Opera House. The Few at Champion Billiards. The Secondhand Ramblers at Ayse. Four On The Floor at JoJo’s. And, of course, the requisite open mics tonight. Stay warm over the next few days, friends.
