Oh, January. Can’t we just wrap this up already? Behold the final few days of the first month of 2016. There aren’t a lot of things going on this weekend, but what is happening is what is happening (see what we did there?!). In addition to tonight’s usual slew of open mics, People’s Blues Of Richmond (above), who we know from both the inside of their van, as well as their opening slot this summer at one of Flying Dog’s summer sessions, are coming to the Blue Side with Soul Exchange, and gosh darn-it, if that isn’t something you ought to check out. Also Saturday night is a fabulous show at Guido’s including the fine fellas in Seaknuckle, and The Meer, who hate us. Ginada Pinata, who we’ve heard quite a bit about, will be at the Blue Side tomorrow night, while Willie Barry, who rockabillied 200 East last summer, is set to take the Beans In The Belfry stage. Oh, and if none of that sounds good enough, there’s also something called Klepto Radio. Have yourselves a fabulous final weekend of January, friends.
