Because lines of communication appear to not be paramount with anybody, anywhere, ever.
Saturday, May 21. In addition to the Preakness Stakes, whatchya got going on? How’s some country music and a cornhole tournament sound? Might we be able to interest you in that?
Check it out. In conjunction with the fabulous people over at 99.9 WFRE (free country!) 200 East is going to host a fantastic feat of fabulous fun (yes, we know that made little sense, and yes, we know that alliteration is the sign of a lazy writer; deal with it).
The Knight Brothers, ye of local country music dominance, are going to headline the night. Tom Senseney, ye of Littlestown, Pennsylvania, awesomeness, will perform for your entertainment. And Karen Jonas, ye of … well, you know how much we love her. Shoot. We gave her latest record four stars and brought her in for a video!
All of these fine artists will take the 200 East Art Haus stage beginning at 7 p.m. on May 21. Because, honestly: Why would we be writing this if they weren’t?
Oh, but wait. That’s not all. Because what would an event at this place be, if it didn’t have some other wacky wrinkle to (hopefully) entice all you handsome faces to come on down to 200 E. Patrick St.
At 4 p.m. sign-ups will commence for a cornhole tournament. At 5 p.m., play in the cornhole tournament will begin. The winning prize? Five-hundred-trillion-dollars. OK, not really. We’ve yet to work the specifics of that out, but rest assured that there will be some neat stuff for all to win/take home/compete to the death for. Tickets for all this grandness will be $10, and word has it that you can sign up to compete in the tournament here. Remember: If you sign up, you’ll still have to buy a ticket.
Oh, and wait. What was that? You want to buy a ticket before the day of the show? OK. You can do so if you click here.
That’s right, friends. Throw down a 10-dollar bill, spend the night listening to some of the greatest country music in all the land being performed right in front of your excited eyes and potentially walk away with five-hundred-trillion-dollars worth of prizes. Or something like that.
Anyway. This will be fun. Promise.
