Well. Ted Cruz was in town today. So, there’s that. Anyway, welcome to the weekend. It’s going to be jammed and it’s going to be packed. Miss Lonelyheart leads the Cafe Nola lineup for Friday night while The Dirty Middle, who we hear killed it at our Big Cork series last Sunday, will be rocking and rolling all over Nola this weekend as well. There’s Skate Jam(!), led by More To Monroe, who you can see above. We wrote about that earlier today, so we shant say much more for now. Cafe 611 has two nights of entertainment that ought to make your ears perk to the moon. Willie and every single one of his Chaperones will be heading to The Blue Side, and that’s a winning combination: Good Music + Good Food = Yay! There’s Mac Cheese. There’s The Outpatients. There’s As If. There’s Faith In Jane (twice!). There’s Every Other Weekend. There’s Oren Polak Duo. And then there’s ukuleles. A lot of them. Rest in peace, Prince. It’s a sad, sad day for music, and that’s not a sentence that is typed lightly. Why not honor The Purple One this weekend by seeing some live music? Sounds like an idea, no? See ya Saturday.
