Hey, it’s Frederick Folk Fest weekend. Did you know that? Because you should. Music is going down tonight, tomorrow night, Saturday night … and even Sunday night (!) at The Blue Side. Katie Powderly (above) will perform as part of it. Because, duh. But there are some other super great talents coming through town as part of this as well. Make sure you keep reading to get all of the details (or “deets” as we hear some people say these days). Elsewhere this weekend, Joseph and all of his Beasts, who we spoke with earlier this week, will be taking the Cafe Nola stage on Friday, and you’re going to want to rock and roll with that. Also: Alive @ Five will bring in Stick Time, and those dudes in Stick Time are loads of fun, as we found last year during Best Of The Best Fest. There are some open mics. There’s some Doug Alan Wilcox. There’s some Green Jelly. There’s some Dapp. There’s some Future Sound. There’s some Southern Charm. And then … yeah, check this out, for real, for real … there’s some Elvis! Indeed. Some dude is going to be Elvis! And perform! At Hard Times! The exclamation points are grating. It will be hot. It will be August. It will be a weekend.
