This installment of the Weekend Playlist is coming to you a couple hours earlier than normal, why? That’s because at about 3:30 p.m., we’ll be hosting EVA, the band you see above these words, out at Flying Dog for a live stream before their performance tonight at the Weinberg Center. Better yet is the fact that their performance tonight is part of the Tivoli Discovery Series, so you can pay whatever your heart’s desire might desire in order to get into the Weinberg and see them perform live and in color. Sound good? Good. Their performance kicks off a weekend of fun at the Weinberg that includes Jim Messina, Seldom Scene and the Steep Canyon Rangers. What a way to kick off November. Honestly. What. A. Way. To. Kick. Off. November. Also this weekend, The 29ers, who we reviewed earlier this year, will be at the Opera House over in Shepherdstown. Black Masala, who we all adore, will be making their return to Cafe Nola. Jah Works will be at Champions, and we could all use a little reggae as autumn sets in, could we not? And Sky Stage continues its fun Saturday night with a show you won’t want to miss. Don’t forget to force your time-keeping-instruments to fall back Sunday morning, friends. See you in a few hours?
