You know what? We received an email from the fine dudes in Hard Swimmin’ Fish today, and Hard Swimmin’ Fish are going to be in town this weekend at Big Cork, and we thought this: “What better way to commence the weekend than to share this video of half the band performing out here at our super-secret Frederick News-Post performance location!” And so it goes. Also this weekend – more specifically, tonight – the absolutely fabulous Karen Jonas, whose record we reviewed not too long ago, will be taking The Blue Side stage and man, if you’re looking for something to do, that oughta be an option that’s fairly high on the list. It also behooves us to note that while it’s not on this schedule, the Breakin’ Even Fest is set to blast off down in D.C., and because we know how much of a bear a music festival can be to put on, we want to show our love to those guys and remind you that tickets are on sale for both Friday and Saturday at the Songbyrd cafe. Also, the fine lads in Mr. Husband, who truly are some fantastically fine lads, will be debuting their blend of awesome at Cafe Nola. There’s some Doug Alan Wilcox. There’s some Cookin’ With Fire.
