If you’re looking for a video to put at the top of the Weekend Playlist and there’s a band called Pig Destroyer coming to town, you head to YouTube and you type in “Pig Destroyer.” These fine musicians will be at Cafe 611 Saturday. If you don’t go, they will hunt you down. Elsewhere this weekend, Audio Whiplash is set to take the Alive @ Five stage in a few hours and there isn’t a better way to spend the 5 p.m. hour in Frederick, Maryland. Reid Schoenfelder, who we questioned-and-answered recently, will be at Sky Stage. Middle Kid, who was kind enough to offer up a Celebrity Playlist earlier this week, will also be at Sky Stage (on a different night). Hip-hop act DaMood, Baltimore rockers Santa Librada, and some band that has a song called “Pyramid” will be at Guido’s Friday night (come say hello!). SoulXchange, along with Mary El, will be at Cafe Nola, and every time that tandem is in town, that’s a hell of a treat. There’s The YeahTones. There’s Brother Down. There’s some ukulele. There’s Moon Music. There’s Random Impact. And then there’s All Out War. Naturally. It’s the final weekend before football kicks into gear. What does that mean? Well … nothing, really.
