The school will be showcasing some of its more current talent at Sky Stage Friday night. And why wouldn’t you go? Like, honestly. Why wouldn’t you want to check that out? Elsewhere this weekend … well, hello, September! And hello, Labor Day! And hello, First Saturday! There’s a lot going down over the next three (or four) days. The fine boys that are fun will be in and around town not once, but twice (!), once at Cafe Nola this evening and the other at Slayground – the latter, with two absolutely fabulous bands and then another lesser band called DoubleMotorcycle. Alive @ Five will bring the Dreadnought Brigade to life in a few hours. Flatfoot Sam and all his Educated Fools are returning to Barley & Hops and they always promise a good time. Distant Creatures, who we questioned and answered earlier this week, will be heading to Sky Stage, and you know that will be radical. Mr. Husband, who was the subject of our latest Frederick One Take, will be rocking Cafe Nola. There’s Quasi Flannel. There’s some California Dreaming. There’s One Blue Night.
