Hard Swimmin Fish are playing at JoJo’s this weekend, and that reminds us of the first-ever Frederick Music Showcase, all the way back in 2015. They kicked the entire thing off, and, as you’ll see above, there’s even video evidence of as much. With only one week until the fourth installment of the same event — which will feature Time Columns, SoulXChange and The Plate Scrapers — we thought now is as good a time as ever to remind you to get your tickets soon. They are going like hot cakes and you’ll want to save that extra five bucks before the day of the show. And … scene. As for this weekend … well, in addition to Hard Swimmin Fish, there’s Michelle and One Blue Night, who will be at The Blue Side. Also at The Blue Side is something called The Woo-Yeahs, and darn it if that doesn’t sound fun. The Grandsons — not those grandsons, of course — will be at Barley & Hops. Something called My Life On Hold will be at Bushwallers, and don’t we all want to put our lives on hold every now and then? We do. Yes. We do. There’s As If. There’s Memory House. There’s some jazz. There’s Community Center. There’s Lark Rize. And, of course, there’s Klepto Radio. The ice is gone and the weather is … well, OK. So, it’s supposed to rain this weekend. But, shoot: Only one week until the Showcase! And that must count for something … right?! Be good.
