The Woodshedders are going to be in Shepherdstown at the Opera House this weekend. They never, ever disappoint, and some of us … well, some of us haven’t been over to Shepherdstown in a while, and we need to get back there soon. So, yeah. The Woodshedders. The Opera House. Check it out. Elsewhere this weekend, Red Sammy is going to make their glorious return to the Frederick area and we always enjoy those guys. The Freddie Long Band, who played our second Frederick Music Showcase only two years ago, will be taking the Bushwallers Designated Music Space. The Hazards, who, from what I understand, deal in The Bluegrass, will take the Beans In The Belfry stage. There’s Chasing Friday. There’s Vertigo Red. There’s a concert from F.A.M.E. There’s The Secondhand Ramblers. There’s Ed Barney. And there’s Double Down Action. Because sometimes, we all need to double down. It’s the final weekend of February and then March will come and it will be warm forever and there will never be snow again. Right? Right?! Let’s hope so. Do something nice for somebody, man. Give them a hug. Buy them a drink. You’ll feel good. Promise.
