The Jeff Cosgrove Trio, everybody. Now, it may not be the exact Jeff Cosgrove Trio you see here that will be at Vini Culture this weekend, but rest assured that a reasonable facsimile will show up. And, if nothing else, because his name is attached to it, you gotta believe that at the very least, Mr. Cosgrove will be there. And so will you. Because you won’t want to be square. Right? Right. Elsewhere over the next three days … well, Alive @ Five appears to be on with the Dan McGuire Group and you know how much fun that is, especially with the weather being not-obnoxious (unlike this post). The Fun Boys, who are beloved near and far, will be touring Frederick, it seems, this weekend, as they hit Cafe Nola tonight and Guido’s tomorrow night (that’s Friday, for those keeping score). Red Sammy — along with the Charming Trespassers, no less! — will be at The Blue Side, and we’ll be reviewing a new album from them in the near future. 3 AM, subject of a podcast taped what seems like decades ago, will be at JoJo’s. And then, of course, there’s Middle Kid, who may or may not be on an upcoming episode of “Frederick One Take,” and they are headed to Nola on Saturday. There’s a lot of stuff to have fun with, friends. Make sure you take full advantage. Be good.
