Yes, we are still putting the finishing touches on the latest Frederick Playlist Presents … session, but in the meantime, above is one of the two songs we’ll be posting from Lost Keys. They’ll be performing at the Art Market Saturday afternoon at the 200 East Art Haus. It’s free, and you can’t beat free. Also free? Artomatic! That’s right. The fun kicks off on Saturday and the music portion begins that night with Stitch Early, DJ Two Teks and J Berd. Pile the Kentucky Derby on top of that and you have yourself a full Saturday! OK. Enough with the exclamation points. Elsewhere this weekend, Jack Funk and SoulXChange are going to bring the grooves to Olde Towne and that promises to be neat. There are a ton of open mics slated for tonight, so grab your guitar and get downtown. Or, well, somewhere, at least. Bruce In The USA is coming to Champion’s and our guess is that’s not a Megadeath tribute act. Cafe Nola has Cheshi, who always rocks and rolls each time she steps to the mic. There’s Hucklebuck. There’s The Get Right Band. There’s The Few. There’s a whole metric ton of acoustic acts set to storm downtown as a part of First Saturday. And, of course, there’s the Dang Gang. There might be rain (what the hell is this – October?!), but there might also not be rain. Either way, there’s going to be fun. And a bunch of it. Like we said, you can’t beat free. So grab a mint julep and settle into May by checking out some live-and-in-color music this weekend. Viva La Art Market!
