Holy moly, Saturday was exhausting. But at the end of the day, it was all worth it. Because these dudes came on stage and transfixed a couple hundred people with their undying energy and unparalleled expertise. If you missed Giraffes? Giraffes!, you missed a hell of a night. Huge thanks to those guys, as well as Time Columns and Kabob-O-Taj, for making Saturday night an incredible musical memory at the 200 East Art Haus. And, of course, thank you for showing up! Assuming you did, of course. Because if you didn’t … well, that’s sad.

Oh, these things just keep getting better. Today’s video is yet another promotional clip from the lovely guys in Time Columns concerning this Saturday’s concert at 200 East Patrick St. right in the heart of downtown Frederick, Maryland. Kabob-O-Taj, Time Columns. Giraffes? Giraffes!. It’s going to be a hell of a night. Just ask those people walking by that giraffe!
Saturday night. Time Columns. Kabob-O-Taj. Giraffes? Giraffes!. The fine men in Time Columns have been producing these awesome promo videos each day this week, and today’s photo is a screen shot of one of them. Everyone needs to get weird every now and then, right? Right?!
We went over it yesterday, but you best believe we’ll be repeating it all week. Saturday night. Time Columns. Kabob-O-Taj. Giraffes? Giraffes!. The 200 East Art Haus, located at 200 E. Patrick St., here in beautiful and scenic downtown Frederick, Maryland. The fine young men in Time Columns have been creating these promotional videos all week and they’ll continue to do so until the rock starts on Saturday night. Yesterday’s, especially, was pretty great, and why it only has about 100 YouTube videos is far beyond any of us. Share both the video and the love, and then come rock and roll this weekend. Pretty please?
Awwwwww. Well, isn’t that cute. The indomitable Todd C. Walker opened up the night on Friday (this photo was actually taken during a song) before “Anchorman” was projected on the big inflatable screen along the creek (via the Downtown Frederick Partnership). Then, on Saturday, Seaknuckle rocked and rolled before “The Sandlot” took centerstage. This Friday, Big Hoax will perform until darkness, and then once the sun goes down, “Slumdog Millionaire” will receive your utmost fullest attention. It’s all free, friends. You can’t get much better than that. The music starts at 7 p.m. Be there. Don’t be square.
It’s Thursday. You know what that means, right? It’s Alive @ Five Day! Up tonight is the Baltimore-based funk/soul outfit Last To Fire. To honor as much, we thought we’d post this video of the band covering one of the classic Ludacris songs, “Money Maker.” The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. along Carroll Creek tonight. It’s going to begin one hell of a busy weekend for downtown Frederick. Hello, Dog Days Of Summer!
So … were you there last night? Did you happen to wander past the creek and see some live-and-in-color music? If you did, you heard the sweet, sunny sounds of Dale And The ZDubs. Thus, this photo. We are now more than halfway through the Levitt Amp free concert series on Tuesdays here in Frederick. Up next are The Crawdaddies, six days from now. You’re up for some zydeco, right? Let’s hope so.
Tonight. 7 p.m. Along Carroll Creek. It’s free music Tuesday. Courtesy of Levitt Amp and the Downtown Frederick Partnership. On this fine evening, Dale And The ZDubs will be reggae-ing and rocking their way through Frederick. The fun begins at 7 p.m. We really love these guys, so if you just so happen to be free, you might want to wander on down and check it out. You won’t be disappointed. Promise.
Hey, hey. Saturday. Were you there? We hope so. Because if you were, you would have seen these fine men perform as part of Monocacy Brewing’s annual cornhole tournament. They rockabilly-ed all afternoon long and we can’t thank them enough for it. A special thanks also goes out to Todd C. Walker for his quick opening set before Willie and all his Chaperones took the stage. It’s now onward and upward to Aug. 8. We’ll have so much more on that in the weeks to come! Photo by Bill Green. He’s got the greatest voice in the world and you can follow him on Twitter here.
Hey, remember this thing? That’s right – it was our first-ever Frederick Playlist Presents … event, in which, literally, nobody showed up. Well, this weekend, the great Mr. Walker will be opening our next event at 200 East, which features a cornhole tournament as well as a headlining set from Willie And His Chaperones. It’s a daytime/evening thing, so you’ll want to reserve the afternoon for it. It should be a lot of fun. So … see you there?
