All right. So, check this out. Every now and then, we here at Frederick Playlist are going to bring in some of our favorite local artists to perform at the Frederick News-Post‘s facilities. We’re going to start out in the warehouse that stores all of the newspaper’s paper (because, duh). It goes like this: We grab a few mics and some cameras, ask the artists to explain what goes into the songs, press record, and watch as the magic unfolds.
First up is Twin Radio. We brought in half the band, Corey Highland and Brandon Fingerman, on a recent Friday afternoon, and they acoustic-rocked two songs – one original, “Find Our Way,” above, and one cover, the Everly Brothers’ “Made To Love,” below. The hope is to eventually open up these tiny pop-up performances to all you fabulous local-music-loving rawkers (with a “w”) out there. But that’s another day. And another conversation.
For now, though, enjoy the fine boys in Twin Radio as they perform on top of about 38,928,012 pieces of paper. A big, gigantic thank you goes to Mr. Graham Cullen, who had a major hand in helping get all this nonsense together, and Mr. Chris Sands, who worked a camera and has a beer blog of his own that you should check out yesterday. Dig what you hear and know how to play an acoustic guitar? Get in touch – we’d love to have any and everybody stop on by.
Now, press play and have a lovely rest of your Wednesday!
